Overview
Geordie Bay is a favourite destination for Perth sailors. With its sweeping sandy beach, turquoise water and good protection from the afternoon seabreeze, it's an ideal spot for swimming, relaxing and overnight stays.
The bay is home to Rottnest’s second village, with a café, small general store and the beautiful white-sand shoreline Rottnest is known for.
Geordie Bay is a mooring only location however five (5) beach anchors are available for vessels 8m and under.
Things to do
- Swim and snorkel straight off the boat
- Grab a coffee or supplies at the Geordie Bay General Store
- Explore the coastal trails surrounding the northern side of Rottnest
Skipper's notes
The seabreeze typically wraps in but remains manageable. Overnighting is comfortable in easterly patterns, but Geordie becomes rolly when any west swell builds.
