Beneteau First 42s7

Designed by renowned yacht designer Bruce Farr with an interior by Philippe Starck, the Beneteau First 42s7 is widely regarded as one of the standout performance cruisers of its era. Combining excellent sailing performance with spacious accommodation and quality French construction, she is equally at home racing around the buoys, competing offshore or cruising the coast in comfort.

This two-cabin version features the desirable factory cruising mast, deep racing keel (7'11") and helm-mounted traveller, making her responsive under sail while remaining easy to handle short-handed or solo. Well balanced and rewarding to sail, the First 42s7 has earned a loyal following among owners thanks to its proven performance and versatility.

Power comes from a 48hp Yanmar diesel with approximately 200 engine hours, while the yacht is equipped with a comprehensive Raymarine electronics package including chartplotter, radar, depth sounder, autopilot, Raymarine network, AIS and Lifetag system. The original Dataline wind and depth instruments remain onboard as a backup.

The current sail wardrobe includes the original sails, which remain in good working condition, together with a racing genoa and spinnakers. The forestay is fitted with a furling system, although a furling headsail is not currently included.

Below deck, the spacious interior offers comfortable accommodation for extended cruising, with a practical galley, quality timber fit-out and generous headroom throughout. The sale also includes galley kitchenware, bed linen and a large collection of spare parts, allowing the next owner to step aboard and start cruising immediately.

Recent improvements include a new hot water system, while the yacht was antifouled in 2024. She is fitted with rod rigging, and all original Beneteau and electronics manuals are included.
