The CSY 44 has earned an outstanding reputation as a capable offshore cruising yacht, known for its exceptionally strong solid fibreglass construction, spacious interior and practical centre cockpit layout. This 1978 Walkover version offers the added benefit of a private aft cabin while maintaining easy access between the cockpit and the rest of the deck.

AYA III has undergone extensive upgrades over the past five years and presents beautifully throughout. Recent improvements include a full exterior repaint in 2024, refreshed interior paint in 2026, new standing rigging in 2020, a 400Ah lithium battery system with Victron solar charging installed in 2022, updated plumbing with electric toilets and showers, new refrigeration, a new staysail in 2025, a new timber cap rail in 2024 and a new Rocna anchor fitted in 2024. She is also equipped with a solid fibreglass hardtop with new clears.

Powered by a 75hp turbocharged Yanmar diesel engine, AYA III features a comfortable two-cabin, two-head layout that is well suited to extended cruising or living aboard. Cutter rigged with sails reported to be in good condition, she is ready for her next adventure.

Originally built in Florida, USA, AYA III has proven her offshore capability with voyages across the Pacific and from Japan to Australia. More recently she has spent the past five years cruising between the Whitsundays and Cairns.

Included in the sale is a 3.1-metre aluminium dinghy with a 15hp two-stroke outboard. A February 2025 survey and videos of the yacht are available on request.
